If you’re having a church ceremony, do you do the crowning at the church or at the reception during the presentation and giving of gifts?

Traditionally, the crowning ceremony takes place during the church ceremony as part of the religious blessing and symbolism of the Quinceañera. However, more modern times families choose to include the crowning again at the reception during the presentation of gifts and special moments with family. Every family and church may have different traditions, so we always recommend confirming the details with your church coordinator and planning team.

Food pricing can honestly vary a LOT depending on the style of meal, guest count, and whether you’re doing buffet, plated dinner, tacos, BBQ, etc. Around Texas, I’ve seen families spend anywhere from about $15–$50+ per person once you include servers, drinks, desserts, and rentals.
One thing I always tell families while photographing Quinceañeras and weddings, guests may forget some details, but they’ll definitely remember two things: the atmosphere and the food. 😅
